Stories

Stories are both personal and powerful. They can help reveal the truth and they can challenge culture and custom. They open people’s eyes to issues and they bring light to dark situations.

This page is a collection of individual voices from around the world, that collectively speak out against sexual violence and bring light to the darkness experienced by so many women, men, girls and boys who have survived sexual violence.

This page is also an encouragement to those of us who have chosen to speak out against sexual violence but don’t know how to act. These stories share some of the work that faith leaders and communities are also doing worldwide to bring an end to sexual violence in their own communities.
